The CHPVA Official Grading Rules for Canadian Hardwood Plywood are published to assist manufacturers, distributors, architects, contractors, builders, and users by establishing the minimum characteristics of the common grades. The existence of these voluntary rules does not preclude the use of proprietary grades, arrived at and agreed upon between buyer and seller. Panels that have been marked with these grades, are subject to these rules. Appendix B contains a list of definitions that apply to this document.
